Verdict

Both Lincoln Gamble and Patontheback were due to run at Southwell yesterday and the latter beat Rockesbury when scoring over 6f here earlier in the month. Sweet Angel finished in front of Split Elevens when fourth over track and trip back in October but THE MACKEM TORPEDO showed improvement for an earlier wind operation when beaten a length over today’s trip at Newcastle. He may prove the one to side with having won off a higher mark here at this time last year.
