In depth
Verdict
African Sahara, Lizarazu and Arctic Desert are three against the field in this wide open handicap and the narrow vote is given to African Sahara. The selection won well last time out when beating Bridgewater Boys and although he has a penalty for that win he still looks ahead of the handicapper. He has conditions that suit he will be hard to beat. Lizarazu rates the main danger on his best form but he ran as if in the handicappers grip off this mark last time and for that reason he is readily opposed. Arctic Desert has dropped to a handy mark and would win this easily on his best form but he has shown very little of late so can not be put forward with any genuine confidence. Marinaite is another that is in good form but he continues to rise in the weights without winning. Law Breaker is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but he is far from consistent and for the winner we return to African Sahara.
