In depth

Verdict

A very competitive renewal in which several are potentially well treated. That list includes Mulcahys Hill and Mason Jar while Butler's Brief won a division of this last year, though is still 6lb higher. Dell' Arca is still churning out decent performances while Honor Grey arrives on a hat-trick and holds Oscar Montel on Southwell running. Nelsons Rock may have benefited from a break but Only The Bold still has stamina to prove over this trip. COLONEL MANDERSON (NAP) didn’t take to fences last year but has shown himself to be more than useful over the smaller obstacles and he finished ahead of Theme Tune at Warwick in February - Tristran Durrell’s claim could be a massive plus in a race like this. No Fixed Charges might need this but Del Duque could be interesting.
