Verdict
The King Of Angels is the pick over Brave Benefactor, Curragh View and Seymour Weld, with Rowdy Yeats an interesting newcomer. The King Of Angels put in an eye catching debut performance at Uttoxeter last month, making the odds-on favourite Capt Jack pull out all the stops, the pair slugging it out in the straight to finish 32-lengths clear of the third. This 446,000 euros purchase was very well backed in the ring that day, and connections will be confident of getting the losses back soon. A half-brother to chaser Carlingford Gale, he has shown enough to suggest that he will be one to follow this winter, and with Tony McCoy in the saddle now, can pay to follow here. Brave Benefactor is well-related, being a half-brother to the useful Bob Bob Bobbin, and he will appreciate the step up to three miles judged on his staying on second at Fontwell. Irish point winner Curragh View shaped well enough when second on his bumper debut at Market Rasen in June but will benefit from the run, while Seymour Weld has plenty of weight for a selling winner. Rowdy Yeats, no doubt named after the giant of a Liverpool F.C captain of the sixties, is well-bred for this game, the dam being related to Dublin Flyer, and he should make up into a nice individual in time, but for now we are happy to side with The King Of Angels.
