In depth
Verdict
Sam Adamson is a safe conveyance and will have professional handling for the first time over fences and that will do for us. Although he stays further than this, he proved well suited to this trip as he showed over course and distance last month, when chasing home Die Fledermaus, with the third horse home 22-lengths away. A 2lbs rise seems fair enough and he looks the one to beat. Winning hurdler Musally is only 1lb higher than his last winning mark over hurdles and must pose a threat, along with Orlando Sunrise, who is already better over fences than he was over hurdles, despite having had just the three outings to date. He is clearly open to further improvement. Raise A McGregor, a wide-margin winner at Bangor is worthy of respect, but raised 16lbs for that effort may be enough to anchor him. Just Reuben is in good nick and has a nice light weight, but we will stick with Sam Adamson, who may be capable of further improvement now that he has professional assistance for the first time.
