Verdict

Few can be given serious consideration and this looks a good opportunity for Kerrigand with Brother Joe and Go White Lightning fancied for minor honours. Martin Pipe's Kerrigand was outclassed in the Pertemps Final at the festival but had previously shown useful form over timber with a Taunton novice win preceding a fine second off a mark of 117 in a valuable handicap at Uttoxeter. Brother Joe is the class act in the race judged on his exploits over timber but wouldn't want the ground to dry up and also comes here on the back of a poor effort at Cheltenham last time. Go White Lightning has the benefit of previous chasing experience but has become disappointing and may need the outing following a three-month break.
