In depth

Verdict

The Plumber was only beaten a neck at Market Rasen on his debut under Rules but ROYAL MAX was thrown in at the deep end on his debut at Cheltenham at the start of the year. A half-brother to useful Flat winner Royal Fox, he can take advantage of this big drop in class. Belguardo is a half-brother to a winning hurdler in France and an interesting newcomer, as is Imperial Lightning who is a full brother to the stable’s bumper winner Imperial Storm. Awesome Foursome is preferred to Uncle Arthur of his yard’s two runners.
