In depth
Verdict
Ar An Shron showed promise on his debut here over three miles and has to be respected but Jonjo O'Neill's gelding is unlikely to represent much in the way of value and preference is for True Star, who gets the vote ahead of Dubai Dreams. The selection, a bumper winner, was pulled up on his hurdling debut last time with his jockey suspecting that he had gone lame. That was not the case though and Noel Chance's gelding may be worth another chance as she is likely to have been extensively schooled since then. Pure Pleasure is becoming exposed, while neither of the newcomers Linden Boy nor Grand Display make much appeal on pedigree. Port Of Mogan has shown limited ability from his four previous starts and would be of interest if the market spoke in his favour but a bigger threat is likely to come from Dubai Dreams. The six-year-old has had plenty of chances though and a better bet looks to be True Star, who gets the vote.
