Bise D'estruval was second at Southwell last month but never threatened the winner, who was beaten next time when falling. G For Ginger produced a much better effort here in July but, like Mac Bella, is looking a little exposed. Green Or Black doesn’t really have a NH pedigree but she was placed in four of her starts on the Flat. A couple of these had good form in bumpers but Woolstone One hasn’t raced since March of last year. MARIA’S BENEFIT (NAP) didn’t have the pace to cope with the step up to Grade 2 company at Aintree in April but she’ll be much more at home with a few hurdles to negotiate having already won a point-to-point. Stuart Edmunds’ well-built mare should be the one to beat here.
