In depth

Verdict

In another competitive handicap, Kavi is selected ahead of Simple Glory and Teorban. Kavi improved for the step up in trip last time to run a very good second at Towcester. He has been raised four pounds for that but, with Tony McCoy booked to ride, he catches the eye. Veverka has bits of form that entitle her to some thought, while Le Millenaire has not fared too badly in his last two runs, although those efforts have come on softer going. Supreme Lover has been very lightly raced but did show some promise on his recent Uttoxeter run, while Pardon What is probably better on going with give in it these days. Fit from the Flat, Teorban holds claims on pieces of 2005 hurdling form, while a repeat of his soft-ground Hexham run last time on today's quicker going would entitle Aldea to some thought. Simple Glory comes here in good heart and clearly appreciates good or faster going, while a repeat of her February Taunton run would not rule out Eldoubleyou. My Rosie Ribbons was showing promise in the early part of last year and maybe the betting will provide some clues for you, and You'vegotmerocking would hold claims on his best Irish form of 2006. The selection, once again though, is Kavi.
