Verdict

CHESAPEAKE failed to land the odds at Southwell last month but had comfortably got the better of Stage Acclaim off level weights over C&D on his fencing bow in June. The pair meet on identical terms today and Jonjo O'Neill's gelding should confirm the form as long as his tendency to jump right doesn't become too pronounced. Stage Acclaim went on to beat Comehomequietly easily at Uttoxeter and can win their personal battle again, while winning pointer Mr Moss should do better now he tackles fences though will probably need this.
