Bond Cruz made a highly satisfactory return to hurdling when finishing a close up third behind Harry Potter at Uttoxeter last week and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice for Dai Burchell's gelding, who gets the vote ahead of Silvo and Longstone Lass. The last mentioned has not been seen since October but would have claims on the pick of her form, if fit enough for her reappearance. Tony Carroll's Countback has given little sign of encouragement of late, while Square Dealer has similarly been well held in recent starts. Celtic Saloon is less exposed than most of these after just seven starts but needs to improve on all known form and of more interest may be Silvo, who ran an encouraging race in a similar contest when chasing home Rosie's Glory at Cartmel last month.
