In depth

Verdict

Not much to get excited about in this opener. Triggywinkle won at Newton Abbot two weeks ago and Martin McIntyre again takes off 7lb. Dainty Diva and Miss Fortywinks could figure if they take to fences. Edeiff's Lad has already had six runs over the larger obstacles, winning at Taunton in March, while Tims Crusader is backed up by point-to-point form. GRAND MARCH has disappointed the last twice but maybe better ground will see some improvement and the dual hurdles winner is given one more chance.
