In depth

Verdict

El Namoose ran in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham after making a winning debut at Musselburgh and travelled strongly for a long way before weakening off the final turn. He may turn out to be useful but that could also be said of NAVANMAN. David Pipe's point-to-point convert is by a successful NH stallion and has been ready to run for a couple of weeks so may enjoy a fitness advantage over the likely favourite, who carries a penalty. Paolozzi was impressive here last month but is another with an extra 7lb. Newcomer Liro may be best of the rest.
