In depth

Verdict

This is a modest finale. Jobesgreen Lad won off a higher mark over fences last season but Ballygoe hasn’t really threatened so far. Bumper winner Flann has finished second in a couple of maidens but R BERNARD ran his best race to date on his final start last season at Wetherby and any improvement on that would put him in the firing-line. Martalmix'jac also has claims on a recent second at Stratford while any market interest in Moscow Spy would have to be taken seriously.
