In depth

Verdict

Cheekpieces could have a positive impact on long-standing maiden Torhousemuir and he’s not the only one among these who struggle to get their head in front. Vexillum is another but should be thereabouts again. Skinflint has finished second in three of his last four starts and Grand Coureur has been runner-up the last twice but ISLE ROAD came out on top over hurdles at Newton Abbot last month and was then third reverting to fences at the same track - Connor Brace’s claim will aid his cause.
