      Verdict

Amuse Me was a prolific scorer in the earlier part of his career but finds things so much tougher now as a record of one win since late May of 2012 demonstrates. After continuing to descend the handicap, he now finds himself 2lb higher for an improved effort here last time when runner-up to Wak A Turtle. He could well be good enough in a modest contest but ADIOS ALONSO is in good nick at present, having followed up a Stratford success with a solid third behind Mr Mafia off a 9lb higher mark at Uttoxeter. That was a decent effort and he can return to winning ways here. Paddy Mulligan is very much a lesser light of the Ferguson team but he went close in an admittedly low-key affair last time and could get in the mix if backing up that improved effort.
