      Verdict

      October Storm was a fair stayer on the Flat and has taken well to hurdles. Calvinist won at Bangor last month and followed up at Uttoxeter when beating Shetland Bus by more than five lengths, though the runner-up is 6lb better off. PAGERO has been highly tried since finishing second over course and distance in June. A short break will have benefited Jonjo O’Neill’s gelding, who goes well fresh. Chapmanshype is starting to come down the weights but may find a couple of these too quick.
