In depth

Verdict

Hot 'n' Holy has an obvious chance in this company to open his account and is taken to do so with the main battle likely to be for minor honours, with Go For One just preferred to Forest Miller for silver. The selection looked useful when landing a Chepstow bumper at Christmas time and gave every indication that this longer trip would suit when a one paced fourth at Taunton on his hurdling debut subsequently. Heather Dalton's Man of Mine has shown ability in bumpers but lack of hurdling experience is of concern, while Celtic Starlight is hard to recommend on his public debut at the age of seven. Forest Miller could be better than he has shown so far now that the yard of Richard Phillips is coming back into form but a bigger threat is likely to come from Go For One. David Wintle's gelding lacks any rules form but has run in points and could be of interest if the market speaks in his favour. Hot 'n' Holy holds solid claims though and is hard to oppose.
