MUSTAMAD is given the vote to get his head in front at the expense of Captain Marlon and MyCondor. The selection has the burden of coping with a sixteen pound rise in the weights since landing the odds over course and distance last time out. His previous form had been pretty poor and he was a shock winner that day sporting odds of 66/1. Connections however have picked what looks like a wide open contest and if he can recapture his recent form he ought to go close again. Captain Marlon has been knocking on the door in recent weeks without ever really looking like winning. This does look like one of his easiest tasks for quite some time and although he has top weight to carry he deserves plenty of respect. Mycondor won over course and distance back in May and is now five pounds higher in the weights. He continues to run well in defeat and could find one too good here once again. Mustamad must prove that his recent success was no fluke but he is still the horse to stay on the right side of now his confidence has been restored.
