In depth
Verdict
PILLAR OF STEEL (NAP) has found form with a vengeance the last twice and is hard to oppose, again facing seemingly optimum conditions of 2m on good ground. She's understandably taken a 16lb hit from the assessor and is up a level in grade but still looks the one to beat. Dorking Rogue clearly emerges as a key player after posting a close second behind Castel Gandolfo over course and distance on the forecast ground. That was a good effort on just a second start for Samuel Drinkwater and he's respected. Theocrat was only a couple of lengths adrift of Dorking Rogue that day and is shortlisted, having also performed creditably on the Flat a week ago.
