In depth

Verdict

As expected, the step up in trip saw IT IS WHAT IT IS in a much better light at Ffos Las last week. He looks more than capable of defying his penalty against these as he has a lot more scope than Kilcascan, unraced since scoring at Bangor in May off a 5lb lower mark. We may not yet have seen the best of Church Bray, however, while Simply Charles was placed a couple of times in the spring. State Department has been placed in a bumper and a hurdle race but has yet to show anything over fences.
