In depth

Verdict

Plenty of in and out sorts make for a rather unappealing betting medium with the key race being the one won by big improver last time in Applause For Amy at Wincanton, in which Enchanting Smile, solid and consistent, was third and Kruseman a disappointing fifth having scored on his previous outing at this venue. The latter is the one favoured by the revised terms here but much will depend if the winner that day can replicate her dramatic improvement on less favourable terms. Danisa is an obvious improver after just three starts but a chance is taken with INVESTISSEMENT for Charlie Longsdon. The gelding hasn't been seen since October on just the second of two runs for the yard and could be open to improvement having shown definite signs of ability on both occasions.
