In depth

Verdict

Round Tom may be having a confidence-booster before going back over fences but isn't badly handicapped while Lodgician enters the argument on his third at Stratford and should be approaching peak fitness now. Simarian carries a penalty for his win at Ffos Las but had Ultravox well behind and should confirm the form but we like the look of RED CALIMA over this longer trip. Paul Nolan's four-year-old comfortably landed a Wexford maiden hurdle over 2m4f in June and was taking on useful opposition at Naas last time. Small Fly came unstuck at Market Rasen and may be in the handicapper's grip now.
