In depth

Verdict

Lupo D'Oro ran in testing conditions for the first time at Doncaster on Friday and did reasonably well though like One Kool Dude, who hasn't been enjoying racing on the all-weather, he has had enough opportunities. The speedily-bred SIR MAXIMILIAN attracted strong support on his debut at Wolverhampton two weeks ago but missed the break and never got involved. Whether he'll handle the conditions is another matter but he has the scope to do better and is handed the vote. Jocasta Dawn is another who made her debut on Polytrack and also caught the eye, staying on nicely from an unpromising position. She looks the main threat.
