This could be a really exciting handicap, with Rough Rock and Simple Rhythm being previous course and distance winners, the veteran Dvinsky in good form and our selection, ANNE OF KIEV who won readily last time out. The vote goes to Anne of Kiev who beat Greensward by two-and-a-quarter lengths recently on good to firm ground. Although the competition may not have been the toughest, there is strength in that performance and although penalised severely in the weights, there is much to like about this mare. Dvinsky usually delivers however a placing may be more likely in this race. Rough Rock ran really well to narrowly beat Bold Ring two races ago. A subsequent poor showing can be forgiven and a return to 6f today means this horse could be a real chance. Simple Rhythm has won on her only previous start at this track, but this was two years ago and there is precious little recent form to rely on. We select Anne of Kiev to beat the weights and win today.
