In depth

Verdict

Genius Boy beat One Pekan by three lengths over 1m here in May and has since completed a hat-trick back here over today's distance and at Redcar. But Roger Varian's gelding, second again since at Ayr, is 17lb better off now and should be turning the tables. ENOBLED met trouble in-running when behind Royal Hunt Cup fourth Sea Shanty at Sandown last month. Following a length lay-off, Sir Michael Stoute's colt should now be cherry-ripe and can find the necessary improvement to land this though Don't Stare was well backed at Kempton last time and the three-year-old Examiner ran well on his Turf debut at Sandown. Life And Times recorded a double at Wolverhampton in the spring but has largely disappointed since.
