        Verdict

        Plymouth Rock went up 3lb for scoring on soft ground at Haydock but couldn't cope when stepped up a grade at Ayr. Galactic Glow showed his best form to date here last month though that was on fast ground while Flying West has only run on the all-weather. However, the latter has won on Polytrack and Tapeta so soft ground shouldn't be a problem. PROCLAIMER's only victory came on Tapeta but he's performed well on soft going and on this track so his long journey from Yorkshire can pay off.
