Verdict

Celestial Spheres was second behind Saturday's Doncaster winner Khalidi on his latest start at Epsom and the Godolphin colt goes on the short-list here. Vanity Queen won at Nottingham on her second start but was then beaten at Newmarket and is a pound higher today. Mark Johnston has won this twice in the last seven years and will be hopeful of a strong showing from the improving STAR OF THE EAST (NAP). A son of Cape Cross, he made all to beat Zymyran by three lengths at Epsom two weeks ago and was value for more than the winning margin. Hurricane Rush is yet another recent Epsom winner who should play a part stepping up a furlong.
