Verdict
Obelix finished ahead of more experienced rivals when runner-up to Classic on soft ground at Newmarket. The Sea The Stars colt will be fancied to go one better here, though Sea Eagle will almost certainly improver on a promising debut of his own at Goodwood. Sir Michael Stoute runs a couple of potentially-useful newcomers with Ryan Moore partnering Nader King, who cost €340,000 as a yearling and is a full brother to Group 3 and Listed winner Current Options and Cieren Fallon on the Roaring Lion colt Survival, who is related to an Irish Derby winner. LORD OF BISCAY is another interesting newcomer being a half-brother to four winners including the smart Forest Ranger and Bayside Boy. Roger Varian’s charge might be the value in this.
