Verdict

AWINNERSGAME is given the vote to get his head in front for the first time this season, while Global City and Angus Newz have run well of late and deserve respect. The selection has been contesting in better grade races than this over the summer months. He finished mid division in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot on his latest outing and looks a class above his rivals now that he is dropped in grade. With luck in running he should have little trouble in landing this contest. Global City won a handicap off a mark of 94 at Haydock in June suggesting he was an above average handicapper. Since then he has struggled in some gig events such as the Stewards Cup at Goodwood last time out and he ought to fair better now dropped in grade. Angus Newz looks weighted to his best at present and looks well exposed for the time being, so for the winner we return to Awinnersgame.
