Verdict

Three-year-olds have a good record in this and dominate this year's entries, though the older The Ducking Stool is something of a course specialist and top weight Sweet P is on a hat-trick after wins at Windsor and Newcastle in July. Lilian Baylis won her maiden at Pontefract but she's been beaten twice since off higher mark. Distain has yet to finish outside the first two while Twitch is proving consistent. Candella came good on her belated reappearance at Lingfield but she's got a lot to prove back on Turf. RETURN ACE is having her first run on the surface but she's been looking highly progressive on Polytrack. The handicapper has had little to work with so she may have got in lightly here.
