        Verdict

        A difficult sprint to solve for 'getting out' purposes and Charlotte Grey is the pick to land it. Although fourth last time, Peter McBride's filly never threatened to score over the course last time. Dropped 3lb for that, she should be thereabouts with many out of form performers in it. Niteowl Lad is well handicapped on his old form but can sometimes get taken off his feet in these sprints. Violet's Pride remains a maiden after 24 starts. She put in her best ever effort last time when finishing second in selling company. Bold Minstral faces a stiff task at the weights to turn around his form with Charlotte Grey last time. Monte Major has done all his winning on the all-weather but could provide some each way value. Smirfys Gold is one of the least exposed of these and has shown some promise. He would have claims if one is willing to forgive his last effort but Charlotte Grey is the pick.
