A drop in grade and a return to soft ground enabled GATEPOST to gain his first success since May 2011 at Windsor last week and a 6lb penalty doesn't look enough to prevent a quick double. Green Howard, runner-up in soft ground in Ayr's Bronze Cup, has won over 7f on this track but is just as effective over this trip and has to be a threat. The Strig won twice on soft ground last month but the assessor looked to have got to him on his hat-trick bid at Windsor.
