Eastern Star won a selling race at Leicester before finishing runner-up over 7f at Brighton and can figure again. But TAVRINA showed improvement with a tongue-tie fitted when beaten less than a length at Chelmsford. There looks more to come in the headgear and she’s preferred to Beryl The Peril, who may improve on only her second start in a handicap. Miss Trixie went close in soft ground last month and looks best of the rest.
