    Verdict

Santerno is taken to get the better of Miss Brush and Angus Newz in a competitive race to open the card. The selection is from a yard that have enjoyed a great deal of success this season and this filly lost no caste in defeat when a good second behind The History Man. She has only had two runs so is still open to plenty of improvement and she is taken to get her head in front. Angus Newz put in an improved effort last time at Leicester over 6 furlongs when third behind Sounds Simla. However, she gave the impression that day that she would be suited by a step-up in trip so the drop to 5 furlongs looks to be against her and for that reason she is passed over. Miss Brush was well-beaten last time but she is eased in grade here and her yard is in decent form at present so she is certainly worth noting in the market. Piccostar is a fair sort and looks the best of the remainder but for the winner we will return to Santerno.
