    Verdict

    Spanish City has run with commendable consistency in competitive, good-class handicaps this term without managing to notch a victory. His penultimate run when a close fourth in the Bunbury Cup reads as the best recent form on offer and this looks a more straightforward assignment. He must surely go well but LIGHT AND DARK is a viable alternative. The Godolphin colt was progressing with every run until coming unstuck in one of those competitively messy Goodwood handicaps. Eased off in the closing stages, a much better run is expected back in shallower waters. Love Dreams is a tough cookie and should run his race again with Moore booked.
