In depth

Verdict

Gilt Linked, Spectacular Show and Indecent Proposal are the three for the shortlist and Micky Quinn¿s Spectacular Show, a proven soft ground performer, gets the vote. Barry Hills¿ Gilt Linked was a good winner at Lingfield last time and had earlier run well on fast ground at Bath but had earlier disappointed on good to soft ground at Newmarket. That was a better class race but he may not be at his best on soft ground. David Elsworth¿s Indecent Proposal looks a danger. He handles any type of surface, winning a little race at Goodwood two outings ago, before finishing fifth in a better race next time. She can go well. Spectacular Show has won in soft ground and has run consistently since. He is lightly raced and looks fairly treated here. Spectacular Show is the selection.
