A chance is taken on newcomer HAWAWI with his pedigree hinting soft ground will suit. Like many in the field, David Lanigan's son of Motivator is bred to excel over middle distances next year, however he may be wise enough today and this well-bred colt looks an interesting newcomer and can be backed each way. The most obvious player is Sea Moon who was all the rage before his Leicester debut. He wasn't given an easy time by his jockey when going down by a short-head but this scopey individual is sure to be a short-price to go one better today. Raw Spirit looks stoutly-bred and this latecomer to the track is an interesting debutant, whilst Little Rocky and Maharana have both shown promise and neither is discounted lightly.
