Verdict
Michael Jarvis has his string in fine form at present and is taken to notch up another winner courtesy of Empress Jain, who is preferred to Woodnook and Laith. The last mentioned has a 6lb pull with the selection on their running at Goodwood when last seen in September and has to be respected on that evidence but Empress Jain won with more in hand than the winning margin would probably suggest that day and is taken to make a winning return for her in-form yard. Brunelleschi could probably do with some help from the handicapper, while City For Conquest may do better on today's faster surface than at Thirsk last time. Fisola is less exposed than most and has to be respected although a bigger threat comes from Woodnook, who makes her handicap debut off what would appear to be a fair mark. Empress Jain is certainly well enough treated though and with her yard in good form she gets the vote.
