In depth
Verdict
A race where the majority will be played late and Cape is selected with Royal Rock and Ingleby Arch the dangers. Paul Howling's charge has invariably attracted plenty of attention throughout her career and while the ground is on obvious inponderable, she may just have the class to win despite it. Royal Rock is another to possess soft ground form but with no form whatsoever on this surface, he is reluctantly opposed. Ingleby Arch is always dangerous if securing a front run. This is a step up in grade but the race is there to be stolen. Orpenindeed was a fair horse when trained in Italy but has yet to rediscover that ability on these shores. David Simcock's horses are running solidly so Classic Encounter is watched in the market. Fyodor has questions to answer. Cape has obvious positives and negatives but she can make class tell in this affair.
