Verdict
Border Artist is proving expensive to follow and so is passed over here in favour of Linda's Colin, Poker Player is another expected to go well. The Ron Harris trained top-weight hit winning form at Newbury last time, beating Villarosi in good style. He was ridden by young William Carson on that occasion so he obviously goes well for an inexperienced rider and a follow up looks on the cards with Tolly Dean on board today. Border Artist rarely gets beaten far, but as a consequence his handicap mark is on the way up. Once again he may find one or two to beat him. A winner off 74 last October, Poker Player has now dropped to a very tempting mark and put in a solid effort last time out, he could get into the places this afternoon. The pick of the remainder could be recent winner Life's A Whirl, but Linda's Colin looks on the upgrade and just gets our vote.
