In depth
Verdict
The three that catch the eye here are Al Qudra, Dahteer, Graze On and Wise Owl, with the vote going to Dahteer. It can be a bit of a minefield betting in these types of races at this time of year but the selection looked to be holding his form when a good - and slightly unlucky - third behind Tagula Sunrise at Haydock on soft going last time and, with his stable in form, can go well again. Much as Al Qudra is due to drop two pounds in the ratings shortly, the form of his six-length second to Caesar Beware at Windsor two runs ago reads well and he will probably prefer today's trip than the seven furlongs he ran over last time. Wise Owl looked to be getting things together with a cosy Pontefract win last time, so he could be improving at just the right time so could also go well. Graze On caught the ye with some late headway last time and today's longer trip looks set to suit. With the likes of Bold Mark providing a good benchmark to the form, we have an interesting race on our hands, and one that can go to Dahteer.
