Verdict

A very competitive nursery to open the card and the suggestion is ALBEN STAR. Richard Fahey's charge was a debut scorer before showing a good attitude to hold off all comers at Ayr over this trip. Soft ground is likely to suit and he sets the standard. Lady Paris is already proven in these conditions after success over this distance at Haydock last time. Indian Ballad acts on the ground and represents a stable in decent form. He seemed to find more for the return to this trip last time and is not ruled out from 7lb higher. Meandmyshadow would be interesting if backed, now slipping in the weights. Watts Up Son is a potential improver now stepped up in trip on only his second nursery start.
