In depth
Verdict
Bond Boy could be the answer to this competitive handicap with Ellens Academy, Paddywack and Parkside Pursuit the others worthy of serious consideration. The selection will relish these conditions, has got a good draw in stall 4 and he ran his best race for some time when narrowly beaten in third behind Paddywack at Beverley. He is equally at home over 5 or 6 furlongs and is a course and distance winner and it would be a surprise if he did not make the frame. Paddywack beat our selection last time and could not be in better form, but our selection is weighted to reverse those placings and from stall 11 Paddywack has it all to do. Ellens Academy ran well behind Sierra Vista at Newcastle on soft ground last time, and given that he had a poor draw that day and would have liked the ground to be faster then that was a decent effort. Parkside Pursuit is the other that could go well but he would prefer the ground to be quicker and for the winner we return to Bond Boy.
