In depth

Verdict

Tcherina is the pick to land the finale. Tim Easterby's mare races off the same mark as last time out where she finished third behind the exposed but reliable pair of Cotton Eyed Joe and Red Wine. That form is up there with the best form being brought into the race and she is a tentative selection. Inspirina found the well handicapped Bukit Tinggi too strong at Haydock last time but his action in the closing stages suggested that an easier surface is what he requires, although that was a career best effort. Potentiale was second at Goodwood last time and a re-production would make him an eachway contender but Tcherina is the pick.
