Verdict

This has been run twice and two 16/1 chances have been successful. MOSCATO will be nowhere near those odds but looks worthy of the vote to gain his sixth victory in his last seven starts. Brilliantly placed by his handler, he reappeared to score over the trip at Ascot last week and escapes a penalty as it was an apprentice race. Steve Rogers is also in unstoppable form having completed a hat-trick at Nottingham. He's having his first start over this trip but should have no problems staying. Aramist is another attempting the trip for the first time and he has a huge weight after collecting a penalty for his victory on soft ground at Hamiliton. The going may be too fast for him now while Lycidas has more or less been confined to the all-weather though we know he stays the distance. Knightly Escapade has been running well but is 10lb higher than his last victory at Newcastle almost a year ago.
