Verdict

Tasleet won this last year though had already had a pipe-opener a few weeks earlier unlike this time. His subsequent four starts were at Group 1 level and he produced his best effort on his final run in the British Champion Sprint when runner-up to Librisa Breeze with HARRY ANGEL a length behind in fourth. The latter didn't look at his best as he'd beaten Tasleet in his two previous starts, though has to concede a 5lb penalty for his Group 1 victories at Newmarket and Haydock. There should be little between the pair here but Clive Cox' charge is taken to make a successful return. Brando has the advantage of a previous run landing a Group 3 over 6f at Newmarket when Sir Dancealot was a close-up second. He was only beaten just over a length by the selection in the July Cup when conceding 6lb weight-for-age so on these terms has to be a major player.
