Verdict

Theydon Grey won over 1m4f here last last time but was all out at the finish and doesn’t look an obvious candidate to follow up. Transpennine Star needs some help from the handicapper if he is to become competitive and Multellie also looks high in the weights. There may be more to come from On Fire but he was well beaten here last month so the vote goes to MONJENI. He was recording his third win in four when successful at Haydock last time but had plenty in hand at the finish and can handle this step up in class. Salisbury winner Mark Hopkins looks the likeliest challenger, though the lightly-raced Belabour is also of interest.
