        Verdict

        Harris Tweed is as game as they come and simply kept pulling out more when challenged in his successful reappearance at Newbury. Arctic Cosmos was his market rival that day but patently failed to handle the soft ground and finished tailed off. He's better than that and can't be discounted on this better going while Blue Bajan had Electrolyser well behind when runner-up in this 12 months ago and should be approaching peak fitness now. Red Cadeaux, placed in both the Melbourne Cup and Hong Kong Vase at the end of last year, found only Colour Vision too strong on his reappearance in the Sagaro Stakes and is another to consider but Be Fabulous is probably best watched with Godolphin's runners apparently a little behind schedule at present. TIMES UP made excellent progress last season and can continue on an upward curve by landing his first Group 2 as he probably has more pace than these and the drying ground will suit him admirably on his comeback run.

        Blue Bajan (IRE) 25-1 (8-12) Held up in rear, pushed along and headway over 1f out, kept on same pace, 5th of 8, 10l behind Al Kazeem (8-12) at Newmarket 1m 4f Grp 2 (1) gs.

        Electrolyser (IRE) 14-1 (9-1) Led at good pace, ridden and headed approaching final 2f, chased leaders, weakened over 1f out, 5th of 6, 17l behind Colour Vision (8-12) at Kempton 2m Group 3 (1) pol.

        Glen's Diamond 17-2 (9-0) In touch, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out, 5th of 7, 8l behind Marcret (9-0) at Chester 1m 2f Grp 3 (1) sft.

        Harris Tweed 6-4fav (8-12) Made all, in command when ridden inside final furlong, stayed on strongly, unchallenged, won at Newbury 1m 4f Grp 3 (1) sft in Apr beating Allied Powers (8-12) by 5l, 5 ran.

        Red Cadeaux 10-3 (9-1) Held up in touch in 5th, went 4th after 4f, headway on outside over 2f out, led inside final 2f, headed over 1f out, stayed on but not pace of winner, 2nd of 6, 1 1/2l behind Colour Vision (8-12) at Kempton 2m Group 3 (1) pol.
